Privacy Policy

Overview

Dealer ("we", "the app") is a grocery deal comparison app. We respect your privacy and collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

Information We Collect

Location data: Used only on-device to find nearby stores. Your location is never sent to our servers.
Anonymous usage data: We use Firebase Authentication to create anonymous accounts for contributing price data. No personal information is collected unless you sign in with Apple.
Sign in with Apple: If you choose to sign in, we receive your Apple ID name and email (or a private relay email). This is used solely for account identification and cross-device sync.
Price data: The app records current grocery prices and uploads them to our database (Firebase Firestore) to build a shared price history. This data contains product names and prices only — no personal information.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not track your browsing activity.
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
We do not use advertising SDKs or trackers.

Subscriptions

Dealer Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription at $2.99 USD/month. Payment is processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Data Storage

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), hosted in Australia (australia-southeast1). Your shopping list and tracked products are stored locally on your device and, if signed in, synced via Firebase.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data by signing out in the app's Settings tab. To request complete data deletion, email dealerapp.au@gmail.com.

Children's Privacy

Dealer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
